USDOT number lookup
Check a motor carrier before you hire, dispatch or audit it: whether FMCSA allows it to operate, any out-of-service order, its safety rating, whether its MCS-150 update is overdue, its operating authority, fleet size and roadside inspection record.

Questions
- Where does the data come from?
- From FMCSA's QCMobile service, which serves the same public census and safety data FMCSA publishes for motor carriers. Conformata does not change it. FMCSA's data can lag behind its own systems, so confirm anything important on FMCSA's SAFER site.
- What does "MCS-150 out of date" mean?
- Carriers file the MCS-150 to register and to update their USDOT information. Interstate carriers update it every 24 months on a schedule set in 49 CFR 390.19T, and FMCSA flags a carrier whose update is overdue.
- Why are no BASIC scores or national averages shown?
- The service returns BASIC results that are marked not public or are years old, and national averages from a fixed 2009-2010 period. Showing them next to current counts would mislead, so this tool leaves them out.
- Does Conformata keep the numbers I look up?
- No. The number is sent to FMCSA for the lookup and the answer is held in memory for a few hours so repeat lookups are fast. It is not put in the page address, written to our logs or linked to anyone.
